Stars MegaWays Slot Demo

Stars MegaWays by Blueprint Gaming was released in January 2020: it is as fresh as it gets. And this is a slot game that truly deserves to be called “MegaWays”: it offers up to 117.649 ways to win, and no, we are not kidding. If you like old-school video slots with innovative mechanics, you should definitely take a look at Stars MegaWays.

As always, we offer you the chance to play Stars MegaWays for free on our website and suggest lots of casino sites for playing this online pokie with real money. But before doing this, make sure to read our Stars MegaWays slot review. It contains everything you need to know about this new game.

Visual Quality and Theme

Free slot Stars MegaWays has a clear interface that contains only three buttons, which we explained above. It is very easy to use and understand: You can see your remaining balance and bet amount for the current spin at the very bottom. Even if you play on mobile, the game’s interface is convenient enough to play Stars MegaWays for fun or with real money.

The Stars MegaWays free slot game uses a “neon” theme, and the visuals look quite good: both the reels and the background are animated. It reminds us of Alien Antix (check our Alien Antix Slot Review here). The music and sound effects are not that impressive, but this is not a big problem.

Stars MegaWays Game Features

We will start with a Stars MegaWays slot overview of features. While it has many innovative mechanics, this is a standard slot machine when it comes to rules and gameplay. If you tried your chances on any slot game before, you are ready to play this one too – you don’t need to read a tutorial or learn some slot strategy.

• The game has 6 reels, and each reel contains up to 7 symbols. In other words, it is played on a 6×7 grid, which is an unusual setup. There is also a horizontal reel on top, with 4 symbols. We will explain how all of this works below, but for now, know that this is the “secret” of 117.649 ways to win.
• There are special symbols and bonus rounds. Actually, there is a single bonus round –free spins, but it differs greatly from others- we will explain how below.

So, let’s start with the unusual grid setup. Stars MegaWays mobile slot uses the cascading reels feature, which can be seen in other Blueprint games too, such as Dragonfall slot. This feature offers the following:

• At each spin, up to 7 symbols can land on reels 1 and 6.
• At each spin, up to 6 symbols can land on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5.
• However, the horizontal reel at the top can “feed” the reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 too, adding more symbols to these reels.
• There is no way to know how many symbols will land on each reel beforehand. Because of this, the paylines are dynamic: you can get 1.296 paylines with one spin and 12.960 with another. The section at the top left corner of the interface will show the payline count for that spin. In this context, ways to win change between 324 (minimum) and 117.649 (maximum).

This is actually a very interesting system that uses the RNG (random number generator) results to determine the number of paylines too. And that’s not the only good thing: after every winning spin, the symbols that are part of that spin “explode” and make room for new symbols that drop from above.  And if you form a new winning combination with these symbols, you get paid for that one too. In a way, Stars MegaWays no download version gives you a free re-spin after every winning spin and increases your odds.

Stars MegaWays Symbols & Bonus Round

Let’s continue with a Stars MegaWays overview of symbols and bonus features. As can be seen, all of the symbols are taken from classic fruit slots, but they are using a neon theme. Symbols that are not the playing cards (cherry, lemon, 7, etc.) have the highest payout values. According to the paytable, landing 6 of them on a payline will allow you to win between 2x and 50x total stake. Speaking of which, “red 7” is the most valued symbol with a 50x total stake payout. Play card icons (A, K, J, etc.) pay up to 0.8x and 1.75x total stake. “A” is the highest valued symbol in this category. And as mentioned above, there are two special symbols:

• Wild Symbol: This one appears only on the horizontal reel. It substitutes all symbols, with the exception of the scatter.
• Scatter Symbol: This one looks like a spade with a star in the middle. During the normal gameplay, it appears on the main reels, and if you manage to land at least three of them anywhere on the screen, the free spins round will be triggered. During this round, the scatter will appear only on the horizontal reel.

In short, the special symbols do not have a payout value, but they have useful features. So, what is the bonus round, and how does it work? The first thing you need to do is to land three scatters on the reels. When this happens, you will be asked to pick one of the closed scatter symbols. The symbol you pick will reveal the number of free spins you have won – you can win between 8 and 27 spins. You can simply take these spins and use them immediately. Or, you can “gamble” them to win more. This is done by spinning a wheel of fortune. The wheel contains different numbers but also empty sections. And that’s why it is called “gambling”: you can lose all of your free spins too, if you are not lucky enough. But you can also increase the number of free spins you have won up to 30.

1. If the number of initial free spins is 8 – 11, you can increase them up to 12 in the gambling round.
2. If the number of initial free spins is 12 – 15, you can increase them up to 16 in the gambling round
3. If the number of initial free spins is 16 – 19, you can increase them up to 20 in the gambling round.
4. If the number of initial free spins is 20 – 23, you can increase them up to 24 in the gambling round.
5. If the number of initial free spins is 24 – 27, you can increase them up to 30 in the gambling round.

In any case, the free spins round will start automatically. There are three important things you need to know about these spins:

• Each successful spin will give you a 1x multiplier value. Since you can win up to 30 free spins, it is possible to get a 30x multiplier during this round, if you are lucky enough.
• You can win additional free spins by landing more scatter symbols during the round. 3 symbols will give 5 and 4 symbols will give 10 extra free spins.
• Can you see the big “Mega Wheel – Click To Activate” button on the left corner? You can spin the gambling wheel we mentioned above anytime by clicking this button, but it will cost 50x total bet. This feature can be used only in certain countries.
