Victorious MAX Slot Review with Demo

Net Entertainment, the ever so innovative software developer, unveiled its ‘MAX’ series of slots a while back. A simple but creative concept, the MAX series aims at offering the same game but played at diverse volatilities for punters who want to enjoy an extra thrill. Both the updated and standard editions of the game have a similar design, features, game mechanics, and Return to Player (RTP).

However, the MAX versions come with higher single-game potential wins. NetEnt accomplished this by modifying the payout by both symbol and feature values as you’ll find out in the likes of Victorious Max online slot machine game

One of the most significant advantages of this concept is that it can also be used in the popular titles already accessible. Just as Big Time Gaming’s Megaways™ brought new life into classic titles by employing new mechanics, MAX, too, can do the same by cranking up the variance. Here’s a look at what you should expect from the Victorious MAX slot.

Theme and Background

The design of the Victorious MAX slot is almost similar to the original edition. However, there is one slight difference between the two: the misty sky backdrop of the original is now a collection of orange, red, and yellow colours, not shades of green as before. The alteration in colours is just to make a distinction between the two NetEnt games.

Let’s take a close look at the gameboard. It lies on a stone wall and is flanked either side by cartoon armies trooping forward, holding up their Legion Standard. A white stone border has been used in framing the gameboard, whereas the icons rest on the marble reels. The play is accompanied by a sombre marching chorus to get you into the mood of the game’s setting.

Fortunately for those who may miss the classic version, there’s an option to swap the games from the control panel. So, if you were playing the updated mode, just click on the ‘CLASSIC’ button to change the game and volatility. Play another Berryburst MAX slot for free.

The Original vs MAX Edition

Victorious was first released in 2011, and comes with a theme based on the Roman Empire which is at war. Centurions and soldiers, clashing in bloody battles with the Emperor doing all he can to stay on the throne. Both the basic and updated versions have five reels, three rows, 243 ways to win, and boast of a 96.59% RTP.

Both, however, have only one key feature, a free spins round triggered by scatters. But then again, all the wins during the bonus round in this slot are multiplied by 6x, which is double what you’ll find in the first instalment. Such features are what boost the potential of unlocking more lucrative big win Victorious MAX payouts. Mind you, the volatility here is not the only game aspect that’s much higher than the original version’s, the maximum win has also shot up to a whopping 7000x your initial stake from the initial 1,500x.

Starting from October 2019, you’ll be able to play this slot machine at all NetEnt-powered online casinos in Canada from 0.25 to 125 credits per spin.

How to Play the Victorious MAX Slot Machine

Victorious MAX slot is playable with 243 bet ways, 1 to 10 levels (25 coins for every level), and a range of favourable coin values. Through ‘MaxBet,’ you can play the game at the maximum stake level for a chance to hit bigger payouts. And if you like, you can use the autoplay button for spinning the reels automatically.

You may also be interested to know that the game comes with unique ways of landing on a win. Bet way wins, will earn you a payout if they run successively from the left side to the right side of the screen. In case you were wondering, a bet way win in coins is the product of the value displayed in the paytable and the level of the bet. A bet way win in currency, on the other hand, is a product of your win in coins and the value of the coins. It’s only the maximum win per bet way that is payable.

Victorious MAX In-game Icons

For the in-game symbols, the middle-paying symbols are denoted by the standard playing card royals A, K, Q, J, 9. The high paying symbols are denoted by marching soldiers, one attacking soldier, Emperor Caesar and a Centurion holding his helmet.

Caesar, which is the most paying icon, awards 200x your wager size for five on a payline. This is one more variation from the 2011 edition where five Emperors could only pay 60x the wager size. In the same way, the remaining symbols also pay more than the original Victorious game.

The wild symbol, which takes the form of a Golden Eagle, can only appear on the second and fourth reels and replaces any standard symbol. The scatter here is a golden laurel wreath, same as it was in the prequel.
