Gift Rap Slot Review with Demo

In Gift Rap by Microgaming, we join an army of elves in Santa’s workshop where a mountain of gifts awaits to be wrapped. We’re here to help with the gift wrapping. After all, it’s Christmas, so we can gladly be of any assistance. In the workshop, the big-eared but less keen elves have clearly not understood Santa’s order requiring them to work on the gifts the fastest they can. So they grab microphones, turn up the music and spit out rap lyrics at an insanely magnified speed.

This is a drama you’ll probably look forward to as a new recruit working with Santa. However, the intensity of the action significantly reduces right off the bat. All you are met with is a dark green background with silhouettes of a light green Christmas tree.

We swallow the disappointment soldier on to discover other highs and lows embedded deep in the game. Gift Rap slot demo is a five reels, and three rows video slot with 25 adjustable paylines and cartoon styled symbols. Gift Rap takes you in as one of Santa’s helpers from as little as 0,01 on real money platform. The free Gift Rap demo with no download requirement is also available if all you seek is some risk-free downtime fun with the charming elves.

Since Christmas is all about sharing, prepare to receive plenty of cash rewards from Santa for your helping hand. A decent range of special bonus features plays a crucial role in the Gift Rap slots reward scheme. The Bauble wild holds out a whopping 60,000 coins gift. The scatter rewards you to up to 80 times the size of your coin. The Rappin’ Jack Frost triggers a bonus game in which you have up to 30 picks involving cash prizes. Gift Rap is a medium variance slot with a decent RTP of 96.62%.

Design and Graphics

According to Gift Rap slot review, this mobile casino game comes with a standard video slot setup. You play on a 5×3 grid featuring 25 adjustable paylines. The festive theme is virtually captured with classic Christmas imagery such as snow spray, baubles and children toys. Also adapted are elves, denoted by microphones in hand.

Dominating the reel icons and the screen background are staple colours of the Christmas tradition. Reel icons do not wear sharp rocking designs but come out utterly bespoke to the Christmas theme. The rapping elves, drumming bears, backing singers, singing elves, spinning steps, the karaoke machine, squeaking hammers and Jack in the box snowmen come together to deliver ultimate Christmas cheer.

The wind blowing in the background sound effect and sleigh bells accompanying each spin adds an impeccable touch to the already catchy theme. Jack in the box will entertain players with a fine collection rap melodies announcing the onset of a bonus game when they happen in a winning combination.

Buttons

Get started flipping through your Christmas gifts. Find the coin adjustment button at the lower left of your play screen. This is represented by a plus-minus symbol which enables you to increase or decrease your coin denomination. You have a decent range of 0.01 to 0.20. Remember to pick the coin size that best reflects your bankroll.

Twenty-five (25) is the number of active paylines by default. However, you have the ‘Select Line’ button if you wish to play with a few paylines less. The ‘Autoplay’ button is only provided in an Expert mode. You should choose it to keep the Christmas fun rolling in the automated mode.

Once you have everything set, hit the ‘Spin’ button, roll once, set and spin again as preferred. An alternative quick bet option is available through the Max Bet function. This allows you to wager 10 coins across all the 25 active paylines.

How to Play Gift Rap Slot Machine?

It’s Christmas again in Gift Rap slot game. Make sure you have your coin settings as desired before you proceed to the spin button. You can select your coin denomination from 0.01 to 0.20 per line. Opt to play Gift Rap slot free mode if you want to get acquainted with the basic gameplay and built your slot strategy before going for a real money spin.

Crossing to the expert mode, you’ll find a control panel pretty similar to the regular one except for the inclusion of automatic plays. A decent selection of festive tunes accompanies you every step of the way. However, don’t worry if you find it all too weird listening to such tunes outside December. Feel free to hit mute and carry on. Of course, Santa understands when it’s spring, so he won’t have you on his naughty list for being insolent.

Symbols and Paytable

Red Bauble is the highest paying symbol in the game. Five of a kind of shiny baubles on an active payline attract a whopping 6000x pay. The symbols also act as the game’s wild, doing the regular substitution task to complete winning combinations.

The snow spray can play the role of a scatter. Three or more of these symbols appearing anywhere on the reels attract a cash payout that is multiplied by your total wager. With 3 of these scatters you earn a 5x multiplier. Four scatters will give you a 20x multiplier, and 5, a cool 80x multiplier.

Another symbol you should keep your eyes peeled for is the Rappin’ Jack Frost. This is the key to the main bonus feature in the game. You need 3 or more of these symbols in any positions on the reels to trigger the bonus game.

Other well-paying symbols include some cute elves with sweet melodies. Five Irish elves will give you 1000x coins, while 5 elves in purple hats will award 800x coins. A spinning top, a drumming teddy, karaoke set plus other old-school children toys make up the low-value bunch of symbols.

The Gift Grab Bonus Guide

The Gift Grab Bonus tops the game’s list of special features. Land at least 3 Rappin’ Jack Frost symbols to trigger this bonus round. Enjoy the shift in music from the jingling Christmas bells to a somewhat rap and fast-paced melody. You’re presented with 30 different presents, each containing a random pick-and-win cash reward. The picking and revealing prizes continue until you reveal the blinged-up rap star, Rappin’ Jack Frost symbol. This ends the bonus game and returns you to the base game.

The Gift Grab bonus is fairly easy to trigger, and the payout potential is well within an impressive range. The 32,250 coins maximum win is possible if you pick wisely. The aim is to stay the furthest possible from the Frost symbol. Note that this symbol doesn’t deliver a payout on its own. We find this a disturbing omission.

Maximum Win

Gift Rap is a non-progressive jackpot casino title giving slot junkies odds to walk away with a maximum prize of 60,000 coins. This is only achievable when you play with a maximum bet where all the 25 paylines are active.

Verdict

Gift Rap online slot is a theme every gambler wants to lay their hand on, especially around the Christmas holidays. Yet it’s just as fitting to indulge yourself in the charm of festivity-adapted slots at any other time of the year. Gift Rap video slot is all fun.

In fact, the fun festive theme is the main highlight of the slot. Feature-wise, gamers are feature-starved. The simple pick and reveal bonus is not a thing to shout about. The colour scheme could be a little too sharp for your sight and the graphic quality somewhat dated looking.

For a more entertaining gaming experience, feel free to browse plenty of other Microgaming slots among them being Electric Diva demo which feature a wealth of amazing themes and exceptional graphics. Free spins, stacked wilds, and multipliers are some of the innovative additions that many gamers look for in online slots.

That said, the limited scope of features also means that beginner players have a chance to enjoy a pretty simple and straightforward game. But for anyone in a Christmas mood, this holiday-themed slot is here to breathe life into your fantasy. If you are not looking for a Christmas themed title, you can check out our Boom Pirates slot review for an adventure experience.
